Public Health (SPH) is seeking an individual to work part-time (30 hours/week) in a Research Project Coordinator role for a newly funded school-wide initiative focused on the promotion of health equity. The goal of this interdisciplinary initiative, termed " Public Health IDEAS for Building Health Equity, " is to increase collaboration and advance research and engagement across the University of Michigan in the field of health equity.

Additionally, a major goal of this initiative is to engage with community partners to foster sustained community-academic partnerships in health equity. About the Department of Health Behavior and Health Education The position will be based in

What You'll Do The Research Project Coordinator will assist in the tasks such as collating and collecting tracking data on existing health equity research taking place a SPH, and assisting faculty leads in the development and execution of logistical and programmatic activities.

They will be responsible for communications from the initiative, including email and social media, and will assist in event planning. The Research Project Coordinator will also work closely with faculty leads to supervise the day-to-day activities of student and community research assistants working on the project. Skills You Have Bachelor's degree in public health or a related field, 1-3 years of related experience, and at least 1 year experience in a management role.

Good organizational skills, a strong work ethic, and an ability to keep clear and accurate records. Must be able to work in a diverse and collaborative team environment. Desired Qualifications A graduate degree in public health or a related discipline. The ideal candidate will be good at multi-tasking and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Additional Information This is a 75% (30 hours/week), 2 year term limited position. Salary range posted reflects 75% effort. About the job: A commissioning project engineer reports to a team leader and is responsible for the delivery and execution of our professional services

tasks for equipment in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and associated systems.

Primary activities include completing office assignments, time and expense management, in-field installation validation, field observation reports, functional performance testing, meeting attendance and documentation, on-site and factory witness testing, submittal reviews, and design documentation evaluation. Preferred Qualifications 20 years of relevant management experience in energy sector activities with a substantial portion related to project scoping, technical feasibility backssments, and commissioning support (owners engineer) for large (> $100M) , medium-size ($> 20-100M) and small ($10 - 20M) capital investment projects Experience with managing large donor-funded technical assistance teams for energy sector projects (renewable power generation, combined heat and power, battery storage, transmission, distribution, cross boarder power exchange, and water resources) of similar scope, magnitude, and complexity, preferably on USAID projects Demonstrated ability to provide technical oversight and guidance on multiple projects in varying stages of development simultaneously across a diverse regional landscape Ability to travel for short-term periods to provide in country project technical backssments, progress monitoring, and attend team meetings and project events throughout the countries in the project scope Skilled at developing reports/presentations that clearly communicate technically complex ideas, concepts and recommendations for non-technical client meetings, stakeholder workshops and investor transaction support events Direct supervisory experience, including direct supervision of professional staff and building and effectively supervising a diverse team of employees and subcontractors Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to hold technical staff accountable for quality outputs and results, communication with external stakeholders such as government officials, donors, etc.
