After passing a theory test, trainees will receive 120 hours/15 days of behind-the-wheel training for hands-on experience. Instruction includes 54 hours of hands on training to provide the knowledge and skills needed to fully prepare drivers to perform independently behind the wheel. • On-the-Job Training Drivers who pass finishing training will receive their employment offer from an Amazon Freight Partner and start solo driving with Amazon loads.
During on-the-job training, drivers will be given a workload that gradually ramps up for two weeks. Once drivers achieve the target safety and performance goals, they will be eligible to graduate from the program and convert to full-time employment.
