Duties Serve as the Casualty Assistance Center Training Instructor with responsibility for developing, implementing, training Soldiers and Civilians, including Military Funeral Honors teams, Casualty Notification Officers, and Casualty Assistance Officers.

Determine detailed subjects and references to be included in Programs of Instruction following the scope of instruction and guidance received on background material and objectives. Participate in task analyses for determining training requirements in training and testing materials and specialized

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: As a skilled trades Instructor , you will demonstrate—through hands-on training and classroom instruction—proper technique, safety, and detail which are essential skills of polished trades professionals. Strong coaching skills and the determination to teach, inspire and lead future trades professionals are essential,

as is a strong orientation to safety in the workplace. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Instruction Instructs program participants in trade skills using approved curriculum Develops curriculum and supporting training materials, as needed Coordinates hands-on training activities including on-site and community-based projects Demonstrates proper use of tools and equipment use, with an emphasis on safety Student Development and Placement Assists with student recruitment, placement, and employability training, as directed and/or as required by program needs Monitors, mentors, and coaches students Fosters positive working relationships with and between funders, program partners, and other personnel

Participates in outreach and employer relationship development Classroom Management Performs various administrative and reporting functions, as required Ensures proper use, storage, and security of tools, equipment, etc.

Adherence with all applicable safety protocols (OSHA 10) WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Internal: HBI Executive Team, HBI Board of Trustees, and staff at all levels External: Community channel partners, vendors, contractors and system(s) end users REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to meet Career Technical Training requirements, including a High School Diploma or equivalent and/or any combination of work, education and/or skills equivalent to Journey-level experience in the relevant trade - Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing or HVAC.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Usual office-type working conditions; routine physical conditions include walking, carrying, standing, hearing/listening, and sitting; nominal travel anticipated. This position works closely with the Economics Librarian as well as other social science librarians and specialists, including those at the Stokes Library who support the School of Public and International Affairs (SPIA) and at the Data and Statistical Services (DSS) unit in Firestone.

Liaison responsibilities include the Bendheim Center for Finance, the Initiative for Data Driven Social Science (DDSS) and shared responsibility for the Operations Research and Financial Engineering (ORFE)

department, and may include backup responsibility for the Economics department and its affiliated centers. Core responsibilities include conducting research consultations, teaching data and finance workshops, and supporting popular licensed services such as the Bloomberg Professional Service and the Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS).

The ability to understand and leverage data analysis tools, work with restricted and open data sets, and understand current research methodologies in economics, econometrics, and finance is critical, as is the ability to collaborate creatively with other librarians and specialists. This position will assist with research questions at all levels from first-year

undergraduates through faculty members. Additional responsibilities include course-based instruction, outreach, developing research guides, and conducting workshops.

This position collaborates with units across the library and represents PUL in professional meetings and partnerships. PUL is one of the world’s leading research libraries. It employs a dedicated and knowledgeable staff of more than 300 professional and support staff working in a large central library, 9 specialized branches, and 3 storage facilities.
