to required weekly reports, monthly reports, end of year reports, and data collection. Meets weekly with the FACE team to plan and evaluate program services. Plans and facilitates Parent Time sessions and PACT Time sessions with the FACE Team. Assists in the work toward National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation for the program.

Coordinates with the parent educators to provide adult education materials to parents who are receiving home-based services. Helps facilitate monthly parent group meetings. Works with the FACE team to transition parents and children to a preschool or to kindergarten. Develops, publicizes, and carries out a program of Adult Basic

Education (ABE), General Educational Development (HSE High School Equivalency) training, and competency-based instruction for FACE program participants. Spends a minimum of 2 ½ hours daily in educational instruction, 1 hour of parenting skills instruction, and 1 hour of PACT time.

Maintains up-to-date files on each adult student. Develops and maintains systematic records of each student's instructional plans and subsequent achievement. Completes the CASAS/ECS system with each adult on entry into the program and upon exit or at the end of each school year to backss academic needs and achievements. Uses the Equipped for the Future framework for instruction and curriculum. Trains adult students

in and models Dialogic Reading. Provides instruction through a variety of methods, materials, and techniques.

Maintains weekly lesson plans. Shares information about community resources and further academic opportunities. Reports to the FACE Coordinator or immediate supervisor on all matters of importance related to FACE. Recruits potential participants for the program based upon the priorities established in the FACE guidelines. Assumes responsibility for own professional growth through an on-going program of reading, workshops, seminars, conferences, and/or advanced course work at institutions of higher learning. Participates in SASI sponsored in-service activities, some of which may be required of certain positions.

Works from home when necessary Performs other duties as assigned, within your scope of practice MANDATORY MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS Experience: Two (2) years of experience teaching all levels of adults. Education: Bachelor's Degree in secondary or adult education. Mandatory Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications: Excellent customer service and interpersonal relationship skills. Must have valid New Mexico Public Education Licensure. Ability to travel to and attend required FACE trainings. Ability to work effectively with Native American students and parents.

Competent in computer skills, including electronic mail, internet, basic word-processing, class dojo and Zoom. Ability to organize and prioritize work and to meet deadlines. Must have or able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification and a Navajo Nation food handler's permit. Must pass federal background check required per 25 C. F. R. Part 63. PERFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in the business sector English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) endorsement Prior Adult Education experience Bilingual (Diné/English) ENVIRONMENT The physical demand and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally work in outside weather conditions and be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, temperature fluctuations, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals commonly used in instruction and/or cleaning. It may be expected that the individual could be exposed to blood or other potentially infectious materials during their duties. The employee may be exposed to infectious disease as carried by students.

The employee may be exposed to bodily fluids and waste while performing duties in life skills, multi-handicapped, and some one-on-one situations. The employee may be required to travel in school owned or leased vehicles while supervising and assisting students. Overnight travel may be required. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to: walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. May be required to stand for long periods. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions in the Governing School Board approved SASI policies and procedures.
