Teachers work as part of a teaching team directly in the classroom, in addition to collaborative efforts with all staff. Teachers are responsible for supervision of children, development and implementation of emergent curriculum for both indoor and outdoor learning environments, and maintaining health and safety practices. Requirements Ideally, applicants should have experience working with children in an early education setting to be considered. We are willing to
train the right person who may have limited experience. We seek a demonstrated commitment to quality learning environments and success in engaging children.
Excellent organizational skills, a willingness to learn and be flexible, patience, and kindness are a must. We expect all Ascension staff to use positive, encouraging language with children and implement positive behavior management strategies.
