Job Summary The Engineering Services (ES) Manager Plant/Design is responsible to the Engineering Services Director for providing supervisory oversight on the governance and oversight of design and plant engineering functions establishing and reinforcing standards and expectations for the safe, reliable, and efficient implementation of the plant design basis and equipment reliability consistent with Nuclear and Station goals. Engineering Manager core responsibilities for the Power Uprate Project : Ensure
qualified engineers are assigned to the project and maintain high quality technical human performance Monitor budget and schedule, approval of requisitions and milestone payments to suppliers Interface with the plant leadership peers to ensure continuous engagement by the plant stakeholders Provide oversight for various vendors and equipment OEMs.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for 50.59, License Amendment Request preparation and any required supporting analysis. Provide oversight and approval for procurement specifications, design analyses, design basis calculations, system modifications, commissioning, closeout activates Job Responsibilities Balance Of Plant (BOP) Manager : Thermal performance of the secondary side of the plant, challenges with increase FW flow Feedwater heaters modification/replacements Booster pump and hotwell pump capacity Setpoint changes review related to transient conditions (runback, load reduction, loss of heater drain pumps) Condenser dump capacity review, TGV DP, MSSVs, FW pumps upgrade Feed Reg Valves backssment, modifications or replacement for increase Cv and/or for the exiting vibration issues Higher turbine exhaust flow and impact on Condenser Condensers Replace FW crossflow with DVR Job Specific Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or Physics Must have 10-15 years of engineering experience within a Commercial or Nuclear Power Plant industry Work effectively with a team to achieve team goals Support or manage large scale plant modifications Independently multi-task and resolve conflicting priorities Demonstrated Communication and presentation skills Demonstrated project management skills including Microsoft product usage (Excel, Word, Power Point).
Must meet and maintain Nuclear's requirements for unescorted site access DESIRED: Project Management experience and/or certification Design Engineering - configuration control qualification System engineering/test engineer experience and/or qualification Experience in PWR NSSS design and operational safety analysis and limitations Disclaimer Certain positions at the Company may require you to have access to Part 810-Controlled Information.
