The Materials Engineer and Lab Lead will ensure the excellence and integrity of parts developed through RPD® technology, including seamless transition to production, while integrating a comprehensive understanding of destructive testing. In a typical day, your expertise: Develops and executes strategic

plans for material validation, aligning with organizational objectives and industry benchmarks Provides execution of rigorous quality assurance protocols and testing methodologies, integrating DT techniques for enhanced material backssment Provides effective leadership and guidance to the lab function , leading initiatives to address the team's performance; activity planning; recruitment, retention, and succession planning; headcount needs and scheduling; employee engagement and satisfaction; etc.

Collaborates with key stakeholders, including materials engineering and NDT engineering, to expedite part design and ensure comprehensive material backssments for all new parts Leads or executes sophisticated failure analyses on test specimens, providing expert insights into root causes and directing the implementation of strategic corrective actions Implements and maintains comprehensive documentation standards; produces reports for internal and external audiences and maintains full traceability and high quality in all preparation and analysis procedures Participates in organizational initiatives for continuous improvement in material validation processes for optimized efficiency, precision, and strategic alignment Manages laboratory workflow with laboratory personnel to obtain high quality and consistent results Operates and ensures maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment for sample preparation: cutting, engraving, grinding, polishing and heat treat furnace and of advanced characterization equipment: microscopes and hardness tester Performs metallurgical evaluations by microscopy and hardness testing Monitors department activities for productivity and expense controls; assists in budgeting, management and procurement of laboratory consumables and equipment Responsible for the safe operation of lab equipment and SOP generation Acts as SME and trainer in use of laboratory equipment and material verification procedures; establishes training program and documents training Ensures laboratory priorities are communicated to the organization, risks are captured and managed Collaborates in close cooperation with NTi Materials and Process Engineers, Additive Manufacturing Engineers, NDT Engineers and other departments Proposes improvements to increase profitability, competitiveness, reliability, quality, safety, etc.

The Non-Destructive Inspector provides timely nondestructive inspection support to engineering and operations based on OEM engineering and contractual flow down. They accurately interpret customer and industrial specifications and provide direction to achieve customer compliant components. In a typical
