Job Description: As a Maintenance Technician at our Specialty Steak Service Facility, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our equipment and systems to prevent disruptions in our operations.
This hands-on role is essential to ensure that all processing and packaging equipment operates at peak efficiency. Your expertise in a variety of maintenance disciplines will help keep our plant running smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on processing equipment to minimize downtime. Diagnose and repair malfunctions in electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and HVAC systems.
Maintain and service heavy machinery used in the meat processing industry. Respond promptly to emergent maintenance issues and work collaboratively to resolve them. Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), troubleshooting and ensuring functional operation. Utilize a variety of hand and power tools effectively and safely. Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations within the plant environment. Assist in maintaining inventory levels of maintenance supplies and
tools. Provide maintenance support for the entire facility, including basic carpentry and repair work.
Participate in training and skill development opportunities as provided by the company. Qualifications: Proficient with hand tools and power tools. Knowledgeable in electrical systems including meter reading, residential-style wiring, as well as 3-phase and single-phase systems. Skilled in plumbing, able to troubleshoot pneumatic equipment and perform basic plumbing tasks. Capable of basic carpentry, including the use of stationary and portable woodworking tools. Familiarity with electronics and electronic testing equipment. Previous experience with PLCs and HMIs is highly desirable.
Experience in maintaining vacuum pump systems would be beneficial. Ability to work in a fast-paced, cold environment (as is typical in meat processing facilities). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Willingness to participate in ongoing technical education and training. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred. is seeking a Maintenance Tech I. SUMMARY OF POSITION Performs all types of maintenance-related services for St. Joseph's House, Villa St. Michael, St. Joseph's Ministries, Mother Seton School, Seton Center, and other Daughters of Charity-owned properties in the area.
Duties may include work of a plumbing, carpentry, painting, concrete construction, electrical, and/or mechanical background, as assigned by Supervisor. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE High School Degree or GED preferred. Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical, carpentry, painting, plumbing and/or HVAC fields required. Must be willing to cross-train for all maintenance tasks and to work under emergency conditions at times. Physical

Experience in furniture/cabinet making and repair is preferred. Experience in paver install and minor concrete work preferred. Be willing to cross train with in-house locksmith. Maintains accurate records and completes appropriate paperwork associated with assigned tasks. Submits documentation to supervisor in a timely manner. Maintains a clean, safe work area. Operates equipment and DOC vehicles
safely and responsibly. Inspects, repairs, cleans, lubricates, and stores tools and equipment as directed by Supervisor.

Complies with applicable federal, state and local regulations pertaining to the operation of mechanical equipment and follows OSHA guidelines for the use of protective equipment. Assists Supervisor in training new employees. Makes effective use of time. Is prompt to respond to assigned tasks. Completes tasks neatly and accurately with minimal supervision. Exhibits pride in quality of work provided. Demonstrates dependability in attendance.

Repair and replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery and equipment. As applicable refer to blueprints and manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation and operation of machinery. Operate and support industrial, refrigeration, boiler and utility operations. Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, and assemble new equipment. Demonstrate equipment functions and features to machine operators. Enter codes and instructions to program computer-controlled machinery.
Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment (planned and unplanned maintenance activities). Respond to production needs as they occur on the production floor. Complete accurate and timely documentation of maintenance records, work orders and task records. Accurately input and record PM (planned and unplanned activities into SAP or other MIS/ERP system. Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's). Comply with federal, state and local safety regulations. Follow SQF and Company GMP and 5S guidelines to produce a safe and quality product Adhere to the Saputo code of ethics and actively apply the Saputo values.
Work together professionally in a team environment with coworkers and other department personnel. Other duties as required by management. Job requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Industrial ammonia refrigeration, high pressure boiler and utility experience. 1-2 year(s) prior industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing environment required.
