The Maintenance Mechanic is expected to perform emergency repairs, which necessitates the ability to troubleshoot promptly and work with large production machines. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Provide a hands-on approach and follow work orders or verbal instructions. Assist in the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment. Completes repairs
and parts replacements on all plant equipment. Minimize breakdowns or disruptions in the production processes by following a preventative maintenance and inspection list and schedule.
Assist in the maintenance functions with a drive to eliminate repetitive issues by developing personnel and using metrics to help make decisions. Perform regular inspections of building and equipment to ensure proper functioning of equipment, and safety and environmental compliance. Performs building repair and maintenance including, but not limited to plumbing, light, electrical, painting, carpentry, landscaping, and basic HVAC. Maintains a clean and organized work area. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Must have strong Mechanical and Electrical skillsets. Understanding of basic machine shop tools as well as welding and metal fabrication. Familiar with electric code requirements. Experience with installation of machinery and equipment as well as dis-assembly. Good understanding of basic math is required for quick and accurate counting and calculations. Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization.
