Services Direct Support Professional / Caregiver, you support individuals with developmental disabilities. Your support is needed in many areas of daily living, including medication administration, hygiene, shopping, meal preparation, transportation, and housekeeping.
You also assist them with grocery shopping, running errands, and finding activities that they enjoy. As needed, you provide physical support such as lifting individuals in and out of wheelchairs. Using effective mentoring techniques, you provide hand-over-hand assistance. You help to maintain individuals' personal spending ledgers and review their checking/savings accounts as needed. You also assist with employment, making
sure individuals are able to perform their jobs as expected.
Conscientiously, you keep accurate and up-to-date documentation as well as promptly report any concerns about health or safety. You find it rewarding to help others lead self-fulfilling lives!
