STAFF ATTORNEY / HR CONSULTANT As an HR Consultant and Staff Attorney, you'll be part of a strategic team made up of HR and labor law experts, serving as a trusted HR advisor by providing strategic and tactical HR guidance to minimize the regulatory exposure of our clients.

You'll play a key role in keeping up to date with HR regulatory compliance changes and sharing that newfound knowledge with our clients and internal teams. We're looking for individuals who have a proven track record of experience in HR compliance and consulting. RESPONSIBILITIES Staff Attorney: Provides legal services on an internal basis (on behalf of Pro Service only) including contract

reviews, drafting legal documents, and similar legal work as requested. Strategic Consultations: Provides strategic advice and practical solutions to complex HR related issues to achieve the business and compliance goals of the client's organization and Pro Service.

Conducts compliance and best practices research on behalf of clients. Consultations can range on a variety of topics including but not limited to: HR Best Practices (Hiring, Performance Management, Termination) Claim Mitigation (Harassment, interactionual Harassment, and Discrimination) Regulatory Compliance (EEOC, FMLA, etc. ) Development of and compliance with company handbook policies and procedures Minimizes Risk Exposure:

Ensures that solutions minimize risk exposure to regulatory actions and lawsuits.

Assists with workplace investigations responding to internal and external complaints, responds to complaints from agencies including but not limited to EEOC, HCRC, DLIR, DOL. Proactively assist clients in minimizing their exposure to claims that may lead to litigation and increase costs to our EPLI insurance policy. Client Service: Partners with various cross-functional teams (Account Managers, Operations, Sales) to support client solutions. WHAT WE'D LIKE FOR YOU TO HAVE Law degree from an accredited university Admitted to the Hawaii bar, or able to successfully pass the Hawaii Bar Exam upon relocation Prior experience working with multiple industries, with varying levels of leadership within an organization (C-suite, Small Business Owners, Front Line Supervisors, etc.

) is preferred. HR Experience in consulting, compliance, or management is preferred. Certifications including SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP are a plus. Deep care for customer service. The Community Schools Coordinator will support the following RCFS Partnership goals: Implement a multi-tiered system of in-school and community supports so that schools are better equipped to serve students’ diverse needs, including but not limited to their most basic needs and academic needs; Build capacity for community providers, parents, school support staff to better support students through positive behavioral and mental health interventions and prevention; Enhance student resilience by delivering wrap-around services and SEL instruction to support the behavioral and mental health of students.

The Coordinator is responsible for supporting the implementation, integration, alignment and coordination of the community school strategy at the school level.

The Coordinator will work in close partnership with the school principal to align programs, services and opportunities collaboratively. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (based on School and Community Need) Support the development and implementation of the Community Schools Implementation Plan in coordination with school leaders, National Consultant and other key stakeholders. Duties may include: Support the principal on the integration of partners and community members into school governance structures (i. e. School Leadership, School

Safety, Child Study and Attendance teams). Convene and staff the site-based Community School Leadership Team, a coordinating body that is co-led by the principal and Community Schools Coordinator and may comprise of administrators, teachers, support services staff, partners, parents and others to identify needs, set priorities and coordinate the strategy.

Support the ongoing nurturing of relationships to further integrate community-based programs and supports based on student, school and community needs. Duties may include: Coordinate needs and resource backssment activities on an ongoing basis, employing a variety of strategies and including a broad cross-section of stakeholders.

Support existing community-based initiatives and explore other opportunities within the community. Act as a friendly, consistent and approachable presence to support school community. Act as a thought partner and collaborator in the overall Resilient Communities, Schools and Families Project. Duties may include: Participate in capacity-building activities including trainings and other school and project-wide events, as appropriate. Represent the initiative in various communication opportunities and participate in advocacy activities to promote the initiative, as appropriate.

Support the evaluation of the community school by coordinating the collection of data, timely submission of reports and responses to other requests in partnership with school and project leadership. Execute other tasks as indicated by the Principal. Delivery through a trauma-informed, family-centered and strengths-based approach in alignment with the RCSF project vision. QUALIFICATIONS Associate or Bachelor’s degree in education or related field OR three (3) years of experience in public health, education, social work, community development and/or leadership training required or related experience; Experience in grassroots community outreach and organizing including building and facilitating partnerships and relationships, preferred; Experience in coordinating comprehensive program activities in a school or institutional setting, including understanding and knowledge of Hawai’i DOE system, preferred; Knowledge of community and ability to grow and nurture new and existing relationships within the community preferred; Working knowledge of personal computer software applications such as Word, Excel and Google Suite; Can analyze and collaboratively problem solve issues; Good organizational and ability to multitask and prioritize; Possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to work, communicate and collaborate effectively and inclusively; Exhibit courteous and professional demeanor towards program participants, staff and administration via verbal, written, physical, and electronic correspondence; Requires strong oral and written communication skills; Comfort facilitating and conducting workshops in front of large audiences; preferred; Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Pass a criminal background check. Must be COVID-19 fully vaccinated. DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Priority given to candidates with experience or background in Native Hawaiian culture, Native Hawaiian language skills, and/or years of experience working with Native Hawaiian communities.

Priority given to candidates with experience and training in trauma-informed and trauma-responsive practices. Experience in school communities and local community organizations preferred. Reports to : School Principal or designee COMPENSATION & BENEFITS $20/hour for 35 hours per week, observing the teacher work schedule as set out in the DOE academic calendar (approximately 40 weeks)Employee will receive 10 paid time off days per year Employee shall not work on DOE holidays and breaks unless authorized to do so by Ceeds of Peace.

An exception shall be made for summer 2022 – employee will be required to work through summer 2022, but will not work in subsequent summers.
