Including, but not limited to: Performs routine treatment procedures as directed. Assists Staff Nurse in complicated treatment procedures. Maintains traction supplies including traction cart every shift. Completes all equipment set up as directed.
Reports any changes observed in condition or behavior of patient. Communicates any patient complaints of pain to patient=s nurse, charge nurse or unit coordinator. Assists in and, as necessary, accompanies patient in the admission, transfer and discharge procedures. Provides and/or assists with personal care as necessary (i. e. baths, dressing of patient, personal hygiene, etc. ) Assists with patient care,
such as positioning patient, lifting and turning patient with proper body mechanics, applying/utilizing special equipment as necessary and ambulating the patient as directed.
Under supervision, performs general care activities for patients in isolation. What you'll have: High School Diploma or GED. Certified Nursing Assistant. Previous orderly or nurse aide experience preferred. Ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology. Working knowledge of personal care activities, transfer techniques, CPR, traction set-up, post mortem care including legal boundaries for coroner care. Knowledge of growth and development; specifically an understanding of the cognitive, physical,
emotional and chronological maturation process. Understanding of the range of treatment needed by patients of all ages in relation to the growth and development processes to include neonate, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
