The qualified candidate will provide multi-disciplinary support for a variety of network devices ranging from network switches, routers, and firewalls. As a BAE employee, you will be supporting the backbone for the Army’s world class supercomputing environment and High Performance Computing resources at the ARL-DSRC.
As a BAE employee you will provide hands-on support for testing, development, and operational support for the entire ARL-DSRC supporting advanced network solutions. These tasks will include: Maintain and administer computer networks for High-Performance Computing related environments.
Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems. Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
Monitor performance of computer systems and networks and provide recommendations to improve the network architecture. Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and firewall software. Analyze equipment performance records to determine the need for repair or replacement. Perform routine network startup and shutdown procedures and maintain control records. Maintain logs related to network functions, as well as maintenance
and repair records. Maintain network and firewall configurations to STIG compliance.
Maintain STIG checklists and other documentation. Participate in on-call rotation with other team members that may require after hours on-site support. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Minimum 3-5 years of progressive growth as a network administrator/engineer Hands on experience in networking, routing, switching and firewall configuration. Excellent knowledge around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure Ability to maintain STIG configurations. Ability to set up and configure server hardware and integrate into advanced integrations. Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies Juniper or Cisco training DOD 8570 / DOD 8140 compliant security certification (e.
g. - Comp TIA Security+, CASP+, etc. ) Computing environment certification (e. g. - CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA) Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Minimum 4-7 years of progressive growth as a network administrator/engineer Experience with network automation (Ansible, Python, Yaml, etc. ) Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $89650 - $152460 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
