Responsibilities Produces high quality images for interpretation by physicians that meet the standards established by the Mayo Clinic Radiology Departments. Requires competence, as determined by competency backssments, in a variety of imaging equipment and technology. Practices proper safety guidelines for themselves, support personnel and patients. teamwork through effective communication. Ensures high level of service to patients through proper communication, technique, and safety guidelines. Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times and lengths.
Perform other functional duties as assigned to assure efficient and optimal patient care. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program. Organized, efficient and multifunctional. Ability to work independently. Requires excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates effective communication. Qualifications Ultrasound Sonographer experience preferred. License or Certification ARDMS or ARRT certified in Sonography ARDMS Certification in Vascular Technology Imaging within 6 months of hire.
Abdomen and OB/GYN must also be completed within 24 months of hire. Employees that provide breast imaging will be required to get certification in that subspecialty within 24 months of achieved competency.
