Conduct daily inventory checks on produce. Process and pick daily 'will call' orders. Manage communication via phone and email regarding supplier and customer orders.
Execute picking for freezer transfers and complete corresponding transfer sheets. Organize freezer, cooler, and loading/receiving dock areas. Maintain and charge electric motorized pallet jacks and high lifts. Operate motorized pallet jacks and high lifts safely and effectively. Requirements: Excellent communication and basic computer skills. Ability to perform physical
tasks including bending, stooping, twisting, reaching above and across, engaging in repetitive motions, heavy lifting, and standing for a minimum of 8 hours daily.
Preparedness to work in varying temperatures ranging from freezing/ below 0°-40° F Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in a warehouse environment preferred but not required. in the equipment, including electric motorized pallet jacks and high lifts, to ensure they are fully charged and ready for the day's workload.
The next step involves meticulously organizing the loading and receiving area. This preparation is crucial for efficiently managing the day's shipments and maintaining a safe working environment. A significant part of the morning is dedicated to conducting an inventory check for produce. This ensures that stock levels are accurately maintained, and any discrepancies are quickly identified and addressed. As shipments arrive, you'll be responsible for receiving them. This includes verifying the contents against delivery documents and ensuring everything is accounted for.
As shipments arrive you will use the warehouse management system to tag shipments, a crucial step for tracking and organizing inventory. Once tagged, the next step is to methodically put away the shipments in their designated freezer or cooler locations. A large part of the afternoon involves pulling customer orders from the freezer and cooler sections, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Your role also includes pulling items for transfers, followed by completing the associated paperwork. This task requires attention to detail to ensure accuracy in records and inventory.
Throughout the day, maintaining open lines of communication with the customer service department and customers is vital. This includes monitoring phone lines and email for any messages related to suppliers and customer orders. As the day concludes, you'll ensure that all tasks are completed, equipment is stored properly, and the workspace is left organized for the next day.
