Posted Job Title Bioinformatician A (Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine) Job Profile Title Bioinformatician A Job Description Summary The Yanxiang Deng Lab (yanxiangdenglab. org/) at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine is seeking a skilled and motivated bioinformatician to join our team to analyze

spatial omics datasets. This individual will be responsible for assuring the quality of sequencing data using existing tools, aggregating data into databases, creating relevant figures and statistical analyses on a per-project basis, and work with the lab members to submit sequencing data to publicly available repositories.

Additionally, this individual will create and document reusable software tools that can be used across multiple projects, and perform data analysis to find biological patterns in a wide range of genetic and epigenetic sequencing. The bioinformatician will also assist with employee training for routine data quality control, analysis, and visualization.

Pathology Full Time - Day Shift The Genomic Variant Analyst performs initial review of genomic data and maintains knowledgebase for variant interpretation and reporting.
