This includes deploying Shutterfly Supplier Quality Manual, auditing Suppliers & Outsourced Partners, Data Analysis, Supplier Corrective Actions & Quality Improvement Projects. A successful candidate will work with suppliers & partner's quality teams to successfully launch new products and drive improved KPI performance on existing products in a measurable & meaningful way.
This position requires domestic travel, up to 30% and will be based in Plano Tx. Shutterfly locations, and reports to the Manager of Supplier & Outsourced Partner Quality. Relocation assistance may be available to Plano, Texas. This role is not approved for visa sponsorship or transfers.

What You'll Do Here: Work with Suppliers & Partners to significantly improve quality performance, implement process controls, quality plans and other quality tools to improve quality metrics Identify quality improvement projects & validate effectiveness of improvement projects Create, review & manage supplier corrective action requests (SCARs) for effectiveness Support Partner Managers by facilitating Quality reviews, data analysis and quality improvement project management Lead quality plan development & raw material qualification plan & execution during New Product Introduction (NPI) using APQP methodologies Lead supplier
process & qualification audits Analyze supplier capabilities and recommend improvements / issue corrective actions to supplier Provide training and assistance to suppliers and partners on Shutterfly supplier / partner quality requirements including Quality Standards interpretation Create supplier quality related procedures and work instructions for receiving inspection as needed Analyze MRB, internal manufacturing KPI impact due to raw material impact on process, and Customer Escapes due to raw material for trends and ensure proper corrective action and cost recovery is taken Provide quality improvement suggestions to appropriate cross functional teams including Sourcing & Development, Partner Managers, PIT, Merchandise/Website, and Manufacturing Operations teams The Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Statistics, other technical degree or equivalent relevant experience 1-3 Years in Quality Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Process Engineering 1-3 years of experience in statistical analysis, and/or project management.
Competency in quality tools such as APQP, Quality Auditing, Root-Cause Analysis, Corrective Action, 8D, Mistake Proofing, Quality Standards, Control Plans, Process Controls, Pareto, Ishikawa, First Article, FMEA, etc.

Instructs, coordinates and performs the duties / functions of Flight Test personnel in area(s) of assignment. Determines the sequence for installing, removing, maintaining, repairing or fabricating critical aircraft components, or electrical / electronic, mechanical or instrumentation systems. Performs testing, rework and repair in various fields of specialization.
Applies shop theory and skills in accomplishing assigned tasks working from incomplete engineering, electronic data, blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings, technical orders and written and verbal instructions. Works from blueprints, engineering orders, schematics, repair manuals and other technical documents on aircraft electrical / electronic, mechanical, plumbing, and hydraulics, power plant, structures or instrumentation systems. For Level 4, 6 years related experience or 6 years with related Associate Degree. Ability to obtain Do D Secret Clearance. Ability to perform moderately to strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
