Position Purpose Work with a diversified team of analytical experts with decades of combined experience in an analytical laboratory designed and managed specifically to support the Research and Development and Production aspects of Intertape Polymer Group operations.
Principle Accountabilities Utilize and interpret data from instruments including, GPC, FT-IR, TGA, DSC, Rheometer, GCMS, and HPLC. Preparation of samples for analysis. Author complex reports on analytical
findings. Develop new instrument methods. Maintain a clean work area. Follow safe work practices. Annually take a training course or attend a conference.
Supporting or leading key initiatives including but not limited to capital projects, raw material substitutions, product improvements and acquisition support. Collaborate with other members of the R&D Department. Participates in and makes contributions to intradepartmental and interdepartmental teams. Publish a written weekly summary of work to the Analytical Laboratory Manager. Utilize electronic information databases to conduct information searches. Actively participate in the weekly Analytical team meetings. Calibrate laboratory
instruments as per ISO instructions monthly. Actively supports all Safety programs and initiatives.
Participation in 5S housekeeping programs. Essential Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline. Three to five years' experience in an analytical laboratory environment Exceptional time and project management skills. Innovative, organized self-starter with good problem-solving skills.
