The Cloud Infrastructure Product Team is creating a self-service platform that deploys cloud infrastructure for customers. The Software Developer performs the tasks necessary to analyze, design, configure, implement and support Costco's Service Catalog, related services, processes, applications, and integrations. This will involve working closely with IT functional areas, process owners and suppliers to develop detailed design, execution, and troubleshooting of strategic solutions in support of these systems.

This position includes involvement with resolving application and configuration issues/concerns, providing ongoing analysis of performance, implementation of approved changes, and ensuring continual service improvements through automation and orchestration best practices. ROLE Develops and operates end-to-end automated solutions for IT ops activities (including deployment, release management, monitoring, etc.

Configures and maintains on-premises and Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure availability, performance, scalability and security of development, testing and production environments, relying on automated scripts and configuration management tools. Demonstrates expertise in the deployment of integrated or standalone releases across multiple interconnected and disperse applications.

Uses industry standard tools to improve and speed up delivery of our products and services. Provides fast and thoughtful issue resolution by executing quick fixes or proactively identifying and solving problems related to builds in production environments. Creates the pipeline to periodically generate code quality metrics. Drives each team to be self-sufficient by providing tools and training and brings different teams together to work towards common goals. Coordinates resources across technology functions to stand up and monitor environments.

Configures and automates development and test environment, deployment, automation and support test data management. Establishes workflows that use the automated pipelines for CI and CD. Works closely with product and application teams to create version control branching strategy. Works cross-value streams with other Dev Ops Engineers to avoid and resolve merge conflicts. Develops tool integrations that allow for end to end traceability for application development (from requirements to code objects changed to meet the requirements).

Develops secure, self-service, automated offerings for Value Stream and Shared Services teams. Works on diagrams and documents orchestration system solutions, configurations, break/fix procedures. Troubleshoots and solve code level problems quickly and efficiently. Follows established coding standards. Creates automated unit and integration tests. Provides specific, relevant reporting to process stakeholders in support of root cause analysis, risk and event mitigation and elimination, and automation. Develops a strong understanding of Costco and/or industry Information Security policies and practices.

Mentors and provides training to Cloud IPT staff and other IT functional and support personnel. REQUIRED 5+ years' software development experience. Experience with SDLC in an Agile environment. Knowledge of API development and usage:NET, and. NET Core, Graph QL. Experience with the following development best practices: Back end for Front End (BFF), Contract driven development, OAuth, CI/CD.
