Very nicely restored 1954 BMW R68 - This machine was restored by a previous owner to a good quality.
It features matching frame and engine numbers from the factory and an original set of rare optional Kronprinz " no-lip" aluminum alloy rims recently restored by Buchannan Spoke and Rim along with new Metzeler Block C 3.50 x 19"
tires. Correct 1/26/9 1/26/10 carburators as well. I went over this motorcycle and corrected a few things after receiving it for a client, in doing that I noticed that some previous owner had welded a flat tab onto the frame on both sides rearward of the seat - perhaps for some other type f seat mounting?
Who knows. The bike runs well and has no issues that I know of. A perfectionist will have a few things to do to make it 100% - but that's part of the fun! The R68 is one of, if not the most desirable plunger twin made after the war. It is certainly the fastest one.

This is a 1947 Velocette MSS.
All original, run strong. Engine turns freely and has comp. Good spark. Mono block carb, Lucas gen. Dowry seals leak. Speedo not working. I have shown this as honestly as I can so be sure to look at photos carefully. Included are some extra parts (wire harness, drive sprocket, used valves, used standard piston, rocker box and other bits). Sold as is.
Used 1947
It is still a low mileage mostly original bike even has the STD size factory dished top pistons for low compression are still in their noticed them when I decarbonized the top end also that is the original seat covering in place.
Here is a list of repairs and Up-grades that I have done since I owned the bike:6 start oil pump drive, cam chain
replaced, mag chain replaced, oil distribution seal for crank changed, gear box sprocket changed, solid state voltage regulator, Boyer Dual coil, 1968 Commando distributor in place of magneto with electronic ignition now starts with key. Bob Newby primary belt drive best on the market, cost $780 eliminated oil leaks from the badly designed steel primary cover and as an added benefit bike has less vibration also changed to the newer laminated style stator.
Norvil pushrod seal conversion insures clutch stays dry. Clutch now has a sweet take up and very light lever pull. Original paint is still on frame and has rebuilt Norton Roadholder forks. Single monobloc amal #389 in place of original
dual carbs. Dual leading front brake plate from early Commando a must for such a great handling motorcycle. Battery replaced this time last year Bike is ready to ride needs nothing, looks beautiful good chrome and paint , starts first kick and hardly leaks any oil.
Some low points that could use some attention but are only cosmetic. Typical Atlas crack in rear fender. Original chrome on rims has some pitted mostly on rear wheel, but the tires have a lot of life left in them.

For sale this stunning Triumph X75.
I bought this bike a year ago fully restored as you see it and have only ridden it 16 miles. The bike starts first kick and you can see from the pictures it's in excellent condition. It hasn't been ridden much so probably needs brakes clutch etc. adjustments. Everything works, matching numbers, a great investment.
