The trainee is responsible for purchasing their personal supplies such as a stethoscope
and scrubs. While in the course, the Hospice Aide Trainee will be paid minimum wage and receive 10 hours of paid time per week. Upon receipt of CNA/STNA certification, the candidate will transfer to a full time Hospice CNA/STNA position.
The employee would be eligible for benefits associated with a full-time position. Obligations: The candidate must complete the course and pass the certification exam. Unsuccessful completion of the course will result in the candidate paying 100% of the scholarship back. If the candidate fails the certification exam, they will be able to retest. If the candidate fails a 2nd time, the candidate is responsible for paying 100% of the scholarship back. The
employee must remain employed as a full time CNA/STNA for at least one (1) year from the date of transfer into a full-time CNA/STNA position.
If the employee resigns within one (1) year of the date of transfer into a full-time position, the following applies:0-6 months = Employee will pay 100% of the scholarship back.6-9 months = Employee will pay 75% of the scholarship back.9-12 month = Employee will pay 50% of the scholarship back.12+ months = Employee satisfied the scholarship commitment. in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Avantic Lodging Enterprises standards as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working (per brand standards). Comply at all times with Avantic Lodging Enterprises standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations. Thoroughly clean and restock the required number of guest rooms per shift. Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including but not limited to, guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for housekeeping cart set-up.
Remove all trash and dirty linen from guest rooms. Keep all hallways, public areas and closets clean, neat and vacuumed.
Prepare housekeeping cleaning cart for next day's use. Clean room with the door closed always unless requested to do otherwise by the guest. Report all missing items from room (i. e. irons/boards, hairdryers, etc. ) to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager. Report any maintenance repairs immediately to Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager. Handle items for " Lost and Found" according to the standards. Follow all procedures as outlined by the Housekeeping Manager. Other duties as required.
