Assists in the collection of arterial and venous blood samples and respiratory gases. Monitors patient's vital signs. Participates in life-saving measures such as defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Restocks supplies when time allows. Is available on a rotational call schedule for procedures after normal hours. May perform circulating functions during procedure. May perform scrub role for surgical implantation of pacemakers, internal cardiac defibrillators, and cardiac ablation procedures. May be responsible for running the stimulator, electrophysiology recording systems, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and other devices relevant to electrophysiology procedures.
