MANAGEMENT DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS OF WORK: The State Attorney's Office, 10th Judicial Circuit, is accepting applications for the position of Assistant State Attorney.

Positions are available in our Trial Division, wherein Attorneys are responsible for prosecuting a large volume of Felony and/or Misdemeanor cases. or confirmed computer and privacy incidents to the ISPO. Serves as liaison for the unit with the ISPO and ensures all unit staff receive information security and privacy training in coordination with the Unit Privacy Coordinator.

Responsible for the design and implementation of procedures and controls which help maintain network security at COAPS. Manages complex TCP/IP network devices that include wireless APs and switches. Responsible for major network issues and repairs that may occur after normal business hours, including on holidays and weekends. Works with tools, systems, and internal/external entities in detecting network security breaches and the illegal use of network resources.

Assists in the management of advanced systems that include cloud, server, application, and client software/hardware computing by participating in the decision-making process for procurement and setup of technology.

Assists in the creation of business and technical policies and procedures related to technologies and the use thereof. Assist in interpreting and implementing computing policies set forth by faculty and researchers that affect all users. Designs and leverages automated solutions that apply the effective use of progressive technology to continually improve and streamline operations. Participates in Disaster Recovery Planning by developing, editing, and reviewing documentation relating to information technology policies and procedures and ensures conformance with established standards.

Responsible for technology support COAPS meeting and conference rooms. This includes overhead/rear projectors and projector screens, remote meeting/participation devices, and digital displays/signage. Assists in the setup of IT equipment in support of COAPS' open house and outreach events. Assists in the development of project plans and proposals that include IT technologies in the budget needs. Monitor all warranty work on vehicles and track manufacturer's recall notices to ensure vehicles are operating in an efficient and safe manner. Provides on-the-job training and coordinates the training of employees on safety related activities within assigned areas. Prepares, maintains, and submits training reports. Assists in the development of Individual Training Plans to ensure that each employee in assigned area is properly trained to comply with the various industrial safety and health programs.

Oversees the SMO Hazardous Waste and ensures regulatory compliance. Responsible for proper disposal of all hazardous materials. Inspects hazardous materials storage areas to ensure that fire protection is adequate. Salary Rate: $34,854.82 annually SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY. SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: This working position is responsible for general maintenance and repair of plumbing, electrical, cabinetry/carpentry, masonry, welding, drywall, roofing, and associated systems necessary to operate a major institution. This position will also provide on the job

training to those inmates he/she supervises in the trades associated with the referenced systems. This position is responsible for reading all blueprints related to tasks assigned.

Other duties may include the following: Performs general maintenance and repair of plumbing, electrical, cabinetry/carpentry, masonry, welding, drywall, roofing, and associated systems. Supervises and provides on the job training to those inmates he/she supervises in the trades associated with the referenced systems. Will follow approved methods and procedures, provisions of all required local, state or federal codes, tool, safety and established security procedures. Performs Maintenance and Construction activities

as directed by the Maintenance and Construction Superintendent.

Plans to complete assigned activities, organizes and schedules work to be performed and requisitions necessary supplies to ensure completion of tasks in a timely manner and adheres to the Maintenance and Construction Policy and Procedures. Prepares reports of progress and performance for assigned inmates for the use by the inmate’s classifications team in measuring and determining the rehabilitative progress of the assigned inmate consistent with motivation needs and the development of a positive approach to rehabilitation efforts. Maintains custody and control of inmates assigned under the supervision of the position in accordance with accountability requirements for inmates outlined in the operational procedures.

May require a valid driver’s license in order to perform specific function that may be required for the position. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to work in a training capacity with people in individual and group settings. Ability to collect, record and evaluate data relating to the training of individuals. Ability to prepare and maintain records and other instructional materials. Ability to work independently. Ability to speak clearly and correctly to individuals and groups.

Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to vocational instruction. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or its equivalent and at least one (1) year of experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, carpentry, welding, drywall, roofing, or food service equipment repair OR four or more years of general maintenance experience (College or vocational/technical training in one of the above listed trades can substitute for the required experience.

) A Valid Class E Driver’s License.
