Tracks and logs workers’ time, materials, and other resources used for inventory purposes. Performs preventive maintenance according to instructions and manuals in an effective and safe manner.

Performs other related duties as assigned. Licensed to operate an industrial lift truck and/or other material handling devices, to assist in loading or moving material and products in the most effective and safe manner. The Field Maintenance and Welding Technician will perform proper diagnosis of any malfunctioning machinery, general repairs, installing new equipment and systems at customer sites and other facilities.

When not traveling, they will be assigned to a local VEOLIA facility and work with the local maintenance teams. The welder will perform standard maintenance duties with the additional ability to weld where needed. Travel to job sites in and out of Texas to perform field installs at customer sites. MIG, TIG and Stick welding when needed.

Travel to assist in troubleshooting or needed repairs at customer sites, as requested. Install new equipment or rearrange existing equipment. Perform building and ground maintenance, when working at their home plant.

Practice good safety procedures in order to keep self and others injury free Follow good housekeeping practices by keeping maintenance and tool storage areas neat and clean as well as timely cleanup of work areas after each job is completed. Is available on call for emergency repairs as needed to keep plant and job sites in good running order. Perform confined space entry in small tanks with 14x18" manways Maintain records and reports as directed by immediate supervisor

Has experience running schedule 80 PVC pipe Can expect to travel up to 6 months of the year, depending on the workload.

QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma, G. E. D. Home School Certification, or international equivalent to High School Diploma Minimum of 1 year of PVC plumbing, OR mechanical repair and maintenance work experience or training Able to MIG, TIG & Stick weld. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Ability and willingness to perform physical duties such as lifting, climbing, working at elevated heights, and manual dexterity Ability and willingness to work confined space entry Ability and willingness to work in range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities Ability and willingness to read documents and implement such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability and willingness for on call status for emergency response Ability and willingness to travel for install and repair if needed Ability and willingness to travel where needed.

prescribed safety procedures and standard work instructions. The operator starts, stops, and locks out machine as necessary.

Maintains all necessary documentation (blue book and operator performance sheet). Watches for quality issues and corrects, repairs, and mends issues. Doffs rolls. Works with material handler to change backing. Required to creel as needed. The Operator can properly change tufting needles, knives and loopers. Communicates quality or machine issues to proper party. Follow all safety rules. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment – to be observed according to plant rules for the area the associate is located Participate in safety meetings to include leadership of audits and participation in all other safety meeting activities.

Inspect products to ensure that specifications are met and to determine if machines need adjustment Set up and operate textile machines that perform weaving operations Cleaning and Doffing machines Observe product to detect defects Repairing minor material stops on machines Examine equipment to determine causes of stoppage, such as filling, breaks, or mechanical defects Take ownership of housekeeping and 5S for the department including continuous improvement efforts. Perform any other assignments deemed necessary by your supervisor Understand the environmental impacts and aspects of job related activities.
