Frequent, supportive communications with participants is foundational for effectiveness in this role. Ensure the quality and fidelity of program content when delivering training in group settings. Facilitate evaluation of participant Life Plan progress; refine goals as appropriate and identify necessary support. Effectively collaborate with other members of the participant support team (i. e. Employ andragogy, coaching, and motivational interviewing techniques to gauge participant progress and encourage retention across program employment phases. Maintain positive and professional relationships with participants, team members, volunteers, and community partners.

Adhere to all best practices established for Pre-Release Career Coach role. Qualifications of Pre-Release Career Coach Experience in conducting group intervention sessions Knowledge of motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and delivering manualized interventions. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and develop appropriate therapeutic relationships. Skilled in writing and maintaining computer-based participant records. Able to plan and organize work activities; manage several tasks at once; and routinely meet deadlines. Ability to maintain performance and self-control under pressure or adversity. Ability to escort individuals, such as VIPs and candidates, to various offices on campus is required.
