A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CAREGIVER / DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (DSP) As an entry-level Caregiver / Direct Support Professional (DSP) in residential care, you provide the necessary one-on-one support to enhance the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. Most of your day is spent assisting clients one-on-one with their personal needs in a private home setting, which includes lifting them in and out of wheelchairs as well as helping with self-care and hygiene.

Full-time is typically 4 to 5 shifts per week with the possibility of additional shifts if needed.
