Analyst - Maximo Administrator role is to help support and maintain the Maximo environment. The person will be responsible for but not limited to Maximo Administration, New site launch, Daily Support, Licensing, Report creation and generation, User Training and hosting meetings with users and launch teams.
The position will communicate with all manufacturing departments and should be capable of serving their various information systems-related needs. The position will be located at our Urbana, IL location, support the business globally and will require some travel. This position has to the potential to grow into other areas of support. MI 48846 or 1306 E University Ave Urbana, IL, 61802. Responsibilities Be a lead resource in business process and system development for (CMMS/Maximo). Document and define business functions, technical and process specifications, and reporting requirements.
Ensure the Maximo system is used efficiently and consistently through user support, documentation, and training. Support the client group in identifying issues, understanding the business needs/processes, and providing solutions. Communicate complicated technical concepts to non-technical users. Provide continuous system improvement by monitoring and evaluating current practices. Encouraging innovation, identifying opportunities, and
sharing best practices to improve productivity and data quality. Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, and end-users.
Develop reporting to support new and existing sites. Monitor applications performance and recommend improvements. Provide ad-hoc reporting, data queries, and dashboards in Maximo. Work as the applications SME (Subject Matter Expert) to assist with system testing and signoff before loading new releases and patches into production. Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and possess good time management skills. Strong problem resolution skills. Strong communication skills when dealing with customers and users.
Other responsibilities as assigned by the Information Systems Manager. Responsibilities will require being " on call" via cell phone or home phone, and may require evening and weekend work in response to the needs of the systems being supported. Qualifications Associate Degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience. Experience with and knowledge of CMMS Systems, specifically the IBM Maximo 7.6 and higher version. Knowledge of Windows-based hardware and software applications, including Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, and Power Point), is required.
Excellent communication and analytical skills are required. Excellent client relations and customer service skills are required. Must be a self-starter who can assist the team on multiple projects or tasks concurrently and complete them on time. Knowledge of ERP Software Platforms is a plus. Maximo integration experience is a plus. Relevant 1-2 years' work experience in an automotive manufacturing environment is preferred. Consult with students about course expectations and academic performance. Develop and implement academic support programming. Utilize campus-level online advising systems, such as DARS, Banner, and UGrad Recs, to help each student get the best service from all relevant units. Career Advising - Provide career development coaching and guidance to undergraduates in Neuroscience.
Support students as they investigate and determine their vocational goals.
Design educational programs to support student exploration and agency as they formulate their post-graduation plan. Support students as they develop the skills needed to be the best possible candidate for professional school, graduate school, or employment. Administrative - Maintain accurate and timely records of all interactions with students. Attend School and College meetings as required. Foster positive collegial relationships amongst the School of MCB community. Assist in administration and determination of any awards, scholarships, or fellowships. Other duties as assigned to further the mission of the unit.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in neuroscience or related biological disciplinary area. Training or demonstrated experience in teaching, academic advising, or mentoring in a college or university setting. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree or Ph D in neuroscience or related biological disciplinary area. At least one year of professional experience in teaching, academic advising, or mentoring in a college or university setting. Experience working with undergraduates at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign or other large research university. Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations. Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks and priorities. Knowledge of academic skills and student development issues associated with undergraduate student populations, especially those that require enhanced advising and academic skills support. Commitment to working with culturally diverse groups. Appointment Information This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after deadline date.
The target salary for this position is $55,000-70,000. Actual starting salary will be determined by the candidate's credentials and alignment with the position requirements.
