Develops and maintains effective business relationships with internal and external customers/coworkers in order to attract and retain profitable business. Visits agents, brokers, and producers in order to retain existing accounts, build and maintain business relationships, and develop new opportunities in support of divisional objectives. Interprets, explains, and markets products and services. Applies underwriting rules and guidelines, rating manual rules, and insurance laws and regulations. May provide guidance and assistance to lower level associates.

May have responsibility for performance and coaching of staff and may have a participatory role in decisions regarding talent selection, development, and performance management for direct reports. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Liberal Arts, Business or a related discipline. Generally, 1 to 6 years of related experience, specifically in excess and surplus lines. Experience handling both new business and renewals. Allied Medical Facilities Insurance experience preferred. Experience working in Excel and other Microsoft Office products is preferred.

Progression toward or completion of CPCU or RPLU is preferred. Pay is dependent on the candidates' background, experience, and geographical differential.
