Role and responsibility for this position: This position is an integral member of the Peraton Labs Network Systems team supporting a customer site location with responsibilities to maintain information systems and their appropriate security posture.

This individual shall have relevant working experience to perform Linux and/or Microsoft Windows system administration tasks and solid knowledge to manage the security aspects of an information system. The individual must

be capable of interfacing with the customer as well as leading a team of Peraton Labs and subcontracted staff. This position requires full time on-site work in College Park, Maryland.

Key responsibilities include Maintain, backss, and enhance the security posture of a complex and diverse development environment Design, develop, implement, and validate best practice security configuration on computers, servers, and network equipment Coordinate with system administrators to assist in the development of appropriate information security functionality Regularly backss and develop mitigation strategies for system security risks Ensure Government security procedures and policies are maintained

across information systems Design, develop, and document internal policies and procedures for system administrators and information system users Ensure all required accreditations and certifications are obtained and/or maintained across all information systems Support ISSM to perform audit tasks as needed Maintain a working knowledge of system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measures.

Qualifications Skills and Experience You Should Possess: Experience with Windows and Linux server system administration as well as network engineering Experience as a security engineer designing, developing, delivering, and backssing security solutions for IT and telecommunications systems Experience applying knowledge of Government security policies and procedures to the development of secure information systems and networking environment Experience backssing and validating the security posture of an information system including backssing and mitigating risk Ability to work complex projects as a senior contributor within a development team consisting of customer and subcontractor personnel Strong communication skills and experience working directly with customers Strong communication skills and experience directing technical staff including subcontractor personnel Seven (7) years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

Four (4) years of additional ISSO experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree. Target Salary Range $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors. • Proactively research and quickly respond to policy updates and ensure timely and accurate responses to external requirements. • Serves as a principal staff advisor to the System Owner (SO) on all matters involving the security of the information systems. • Play an active role in developing, updating, and/or coordinating the development of the system security plans, core documentation, equipment, and software updates for applicable IT Systems. • Plans, manages,

documents, and coordinates annual system backssment and authorization activities, to include continuous monitoring.

• Ensures all networks, computing, communication devices, and control equipment comply with the FISMA and other related Federal security requirements for IT. • Manage classified materials in accordance with applicable laws, executive orders, directives, and regulations. Support the analysis and compilation of IT Security data call responses. • Manage and control changes to the information system, access and document the security impacts of those changes. • Develop, maintain, and support the execution of test cases for each IT Security Control requirement.

• Document and manage a privileged user reduction. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • Must be a U. S. Citizen. • Current CISSP certification• Security Clearance Required: Secret• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Information Technology, or other related discipline from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience. PREFERRED SKILLS • Possess 8+ years' experience in a related field to include IT project management. • Possesses, demonstrates, and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
