a must RESPONSIBILITIES: Source, negotiate, manage, and measure supplier quality, cost, delivery, terms of payment, and purchase conditions. Evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers in order to achieve on-time delivery, at the lowest cost, while minimizing inventory.

Manage the Buying process by monitoring key Purchasing signals based on demand and Safety Stocks. Place, track, monitor and follow-up Purchased Orders to ensure material ordered is delivered on-time, meeting quality and documentation standards. Follow up to expedite or de-expedite purchase orders as required. Monitor Life Cycle of assigned goods to ensure no product ever gets scrapped. Ensure

all paperwork for incoming deliveries is accurate and accompanies the delivery of raw materials, quickly solving any discrepancies as they occur. Participate in the Supplier Qualification program.

Support the Quality department in obtaining documents to assure GMP compliance. Monitor quality and adherence to specifications of products purchased. Coordinate with Logistics material receipts and warehouse space planning. Discuss defective or unacceptable raw materials or components with Quality Control, users, vendors, and others to determine the source of the problem and take corrective action. Evaluate and negotiate alternative supplier options and collaborate with the team on design enhancements

and product modifications. Negotiate Purchasing Agreements and supplier agreements, where applicable.

Actively reduce lead times through vendor-managed inventory programs or floor stock agreements. Actively solicit quotations for new raw materials and existing raw materials to assure price awareness and competitiveness in the supply chain. Communicate any supply chain threats and strategic buy ahead opportunities. Work closely with the R&D department in the sourcing of raw materials to support new product launches and pilots. Prepare reports, update KPIs periodically. Unload trucks of frozen ingredients, packing supplies and put in proper place. Enter all unloading into proper documents. Inspect frozen ingredients before unloading.

Take inventories. Ensure that we have supplies to run schedule.

Close communication with team leader, other material handlers, quality assurance & extrusion throughout shift. Maintain accurate quality and unloading records. Demonstrate good work attendance, good communication skills, the ability to work well with others, and the willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays Follow Good Manufacturing Practices. Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area. Follow all required work safe practices. Load refrigerated trailers in accordance with customer specifications. Maintain mileage sheets and all other records for truck operations. Ensure trailer floors are scrubbed and cleaned, maintain trucks as needed to ensure they are in good working conditions at all times. Follow FIFO and inventory control practices and procedures. Safe and efficient operation of stretch -wrapping and palletizing equipment (if applicable) Perform pre and post load inspections of the trailer. Effective communication with internal and external customers. Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) in detail without deviation.

Perform equipment safety pre-operational inspections. Accurately and neatly complete warehouse shipping and receiving records and documents. Perform department environmental and housekeeping controls. Support internal and external audits. Follow all established occupational health and safety procedures. Follow all established GMP's and Food Safety procedures. Cross-train with other departments. Comply with federal, state, and local dairy food regulations.
