Any collect shipments must be authorized by the office prior to acceptance. Remove all packing slips from shipments and put them in the Incoming Inspection tray in shipping office. After receiving and verifying carton and skid counts, all raw materials are to be moved to Incoming Inspection. This must be done as you unload the truck. All rejects must be isolated, and a copy of the packing slip put on the
box. The original packing slip goes to the Shipping Clerk. (Follow reject procedure). Label and or scan incoming shipments into system as required. When moving plated material from Inspection to Warehouse, parts must be staged according to customer and part number - meaning separate skids per part number when possible.
Tape, shrink wrap and band all truck shipments in a neat, professional manner. Be sure labels are on neatly, are correct and are facing out. Some shipments must be written up by skid and the skid MUST have a " this skid contains" sign which will include the skid number, each part number and amount per box and total cartons on the skid. The Low Voltage Technician will be responsible for the installation of fire alarm systems as well as other types of low voltage systems. The Low Voltage Technician must have a minimum of five years of experience with electrical low voltage fire alarm systems and the ability to install systems.
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a professional manner are all required. The ability to work flexible schedules to accommodate testing/installation and service work in occupied buildings is required. NICET certification preferred but not required. Some travel required. and determining approval of vacation or time off requests. Manage the production schedule and identify lead times to provide to the customer. Promote the CIP Program and participate in decision making and implementation of ideas submitted.
Follow company polices, standards, and specifications along with having involvement in developing these with the General Manager and Human Resources. Planning and implementation of internal training programs to continue providing personnel with a good knowledge of company products. Work with inside sales to ensure finished goods are being billed within a specified timeline. Analyze problems and cultivate alternative solutions. Enforce and practice safety
for all shop floor activities. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 5 years of related work experience with 2 years in a related supervisory level position.
Bachelor's in Engineering preferred. Knowledge and experience with production planning including: scheduling, inventory. Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc. Management and team management principles. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
