Typically, the work is performed in wet and muddy conditions on steep side slopes and requires the use of 4x4 trucks ( which are issued by the District for District use only ) with winches and significant labor to set up several hundred feet of suction and discharge hose. Ability to safely hitch, unhitch, and back utility trailers, pump mounted trailers and fuel trailers and the ability

to work alone and in small teams while using good safety practices is required. Assignments are primarily outdoors and require good physical condition to withstand hot summer, and cold rainy winter, working conditions.

Experience in construction and the ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks including electrical and mechanical maintenance are also desirable. This position rotates on-call responsibilities (evenings, weekends, holidays) as needed.
