Our Supply Chain Supervisor manages all purchasing activities and inventory and property control procedures. Oversees projects and tasks assigned to the organizational group performed by Unionized, non-exempt and/or exempt employees. Specific tasks include: Sources, purchases, plans, and schedules the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies,
finished goods and related material through production and inventory process. Identifies raw material, component, and related requirements from engineering and production specifications and schedules Purchases, plans, and coordinates resulting material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory sequences Develops and reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up orders placed, approves payment, and maintains necessary records of material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory cycle(s) Coordinates and follows up with production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and movement of
materials and services Makes recommendations for promotions, merit increases, hiring of prospective employees, and ways to increase productivity Helps motivate workers and provides technical guidance Deals with disciplinary actions Executes department procedures that typically affect individual employees within own department Interprets and executes policies and procedures Recommends modifications to operating policies.
Monitors safety practices Prepares reports as required Extensive contacts with internal personnel and outside customer representatives at various management levels concerning operations or scheduling or specific phases of projects or contracts Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal or external representatives concerning specific operations Performs other related tasks as assigned #CRF2023 Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years experience and Master's degree with 3-5 years experience and or high school diploma/GED with 9+ years equivalent combination of training and professional work experience that provides the required knowledge and skills U.
