Completes and verifies paperwork, departmental logs, reports and parking violations. Patrols and conducts surveillance of assigned areas for theft, suspicious activity or illegal activities, parking violations, and intoxicated persons. Escorts and/or assists departments with transfers of packages or currency from one destination to another. Conducts visual surveillance inside and outside

Accepts and logs into property locker, lost and found property and tags for safekeeping. Fosters and maintains positive guest relations Performs opening and closing procedures in the main building and Travel Center facility. Performs CPR or First Aid as required in the event of medical emergencies. Ensures equipment is clean and in working order and that uniforms are clean and complete. Attends training classes and seminars on security methods, techniques, safety, first aide, and related law enforcement courses. CPR/First Aid, NM Security Level III Certification.
Must be at least 21 years of age. Current valid New Mexico Driver's License with no arrests in the past year except minor traffic violations. No felony convictions or misdemeanors. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation and physical exam. Native American preference will be given.
