Lindner College of Business, Department of Finance, is home to 21 full-time faculty (including 13 tenure track) who teach in the Finance, Real Estate, and Insurance and Risk Management programs. Job Overview The Department of Finance is accepting applications for one or more term adjunct (part-time) faculty. This includes teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses.

The Department is using this position announcement to build a pool of qualified instructors to fill teaching needs as they arise going forward, not hiring for a specific course or semester. The department offers courses in both in-person (on campus) and online formats. Online courses are typically (but not always) delivered asynchronously. The department frequently has needs in all 3 areas housed in the Finance department and for teaching in both in-person and online formats. Term adjuncts may be assigned to either delivery format after consultation with the department head.

Essential Functions On a part-time basis, conduct and teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses and seminars. May serve as an academic adviser for students and evaluate student coursework. Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of his or her responsibilities. Review, and where necessary, respond in a timely manner to all University-related communications. Minimum Requirements Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex material to students unfamiliar with a subject. Ability to work and collaborate with individuals from a variety of culturally diverse backgrounds.

Required Education Master’s degree in Finance (or related field), or a Bachelor’s Degree with a professional certification in a related field (e. g. CFA or CFP).
