The Department of Internal Medicine is seeking a full-time Clinical Research Assistant in the Division of Digestive Diseases. The Clinical Research Assistant will assist researchers with clinical studies by documenting participant information, interacting with research participants
as needed, completing study-related data entry, scheduling appointments and tests, etc.
This position is located at Holmes Hospital/UC Medical main campus. Essential Functions Assist physicians, nurses and researchers during clinical research studies. Perform routine physical/clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, blood pressure readings, pulse etc. Coordinate patient care as applicable to clinical research studies. Actively participate in patient care, scheduling research tests/procedures and follow up. Maintain regulatory documentation, assist with preparation of IRB submissions. Accurately enters data from electronic medical records, or paper research charts, into study specific electronic data capture systems in a timely manner for industry-sponsored, federally-funded, or investigator initiated clinical research studies.
Liaison with medical staff, university departments, ancillary departments, IRB, and industry contacts Assist with maintaining and ordering study related kits and supplies Perform related duties based on departmental need.
