member, you will work closely with our data team to understand and develop analytical approaches and design innovative analytical solutions to support MOFC. RESPONSIBILITIES : Collect, analyze, and visualize data. Integrate data into pipelines through extract, transform and load (ETL) processes from operational systems and third-party data sources.
Perform business analysis to understand the needs of teammates and stakeholders. Engage directly with MOFC teams to provide data trends and insights. Source and manage data to identify relevant trends and information. Assist in preparation of reports and dashboards. Respond to data requests and troubleshoot data issues. Assist in documenting
processes, change notifications, and gathering and defining requirements. Act as an internal and customer-facing advocate for MOFC. Identify and implement new practices to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
Build data visualizations for ad-hoc analytics, special reports, and to create programmatic data visualizations with user input. Develop basic statistical models and machine learning components under the guidance of senior data scientist. QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree - or equivalent experience - in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Information Management, or a similar data and analysis-centric
discipline. Experience: At least 1 year of hands-on experience working with or managing data, data software, and data integrations.
Skills/Competencies: Passionate about mission-driver work, technology- and data-centric approach to achieving organizational goals. Effective product delivery from stakeholder ideas through product development cycle to delivery and integration with guidance. Proficiency in R, RStudio, Rmarkdown, RShiny, Tidyverse, and other R packages. Experience authoring packages is a plus. Experience with Python, Pandas, Num Py, Arrow is a plus. Experience with Apache Airflow, Five Tran, DBT, Google Big Query, Snowflake or other data engineering and data warehousing solutions are a plus.
Experience using SQL as starting point for analytics projects, along with some knowledge of basic web development languages such as HTML and CSS. Experience with open-source development communities and an understanding of open-source tools. Ability to learn independently from open-source resources and apply that learning to MOFC-specific use cases. Competence in developing and delivering effective data architectures across a diverse range of use cases. Proficiency in data engineering across a specific set of operational and/or analytical systems. Can carry out data product delivery, from stakeholder idea through the data product development cycle to delivery and integration with oversight and guidance.
Ability to maintain customer and data confidentiality. Ability to learn independently from open-source resources and apply that learning to MOFC-specific use cases. Can carry out data analysis, reporting, and data product development. Capable of both benefiting from and contributing to open-source development communities internally.
