Job Summary: As an Investment Operations
Analyst, you are responsible for various operational activities and interface regularly with traders, ALM team, trading analysts, accounting as well as external industry contacts: brokers, custodians, etc.
Your key responsibilities include trade and cash settlements, derivative operations, collateral management, data integrity, cash and position reconciliations, and fixed income analytics. You possess strong quantitative and technical skills and have a knowledge and passion for fixed income securities, operations, and streamlining processes. Concise writing and communication skills are very important. This position is hybrid based in greater Indianapolis (Zionsville) or Remote. Main Accountabilities:
Investigate and resolve all cash and asset breaks working with custodians, investment managers and accounting.
Perform reconciliations for derivative positions and trade activity including margin and collateral management. Perform trade settlement and reconciliation responsibilities. Conduct tri-party reconciliations between the investment system, accounting books, and custodian reports. Update and maintain security master data. Compare against market providers and research deal documentation. Assist other areas of investment operations during peak workflows. Maintain and update procedure documentation for streamlined processes. Assist on key initiatives and projects and effectively collaborate with stakeholders across multiple departments to ensure that project deliverables are met.
Qualifications: BA/BS with concentration in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields. 3+ years of experience in investment management operations, with focus on cash, trade settlement and/or collateral management. Black Rock Aladdin experience preferred. Product knowledge of corporate bonds, asset backed securities, derivatives, commercial mortgage loans, repurchase agreements and bank loans. Operational knowledge of private placement securities, including trade lifecycle and settlement process.
Experience with electronic fixed income trading systems a major plus. Strong quantitative and technical skills. Ownership and accountability for deliverables. Team oriented. S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $74,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $104,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
