Today, the organization provides an array of clinical, behavioral health and educational programs to more than 2,000 children, youth and adults living with autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities and/or mental health diagnoses across the state of Maine. Position Summary The role of the Training Specialist is to deliver high-quality trainings that educate, train, and equip
employees of the organization with the knowledge and skills necessary for various positions and programming requirements. As a training specialist, you will serve as a valuable resource for all of Woodfords' departments, by ensuring employees, contract providers, and community members receive the tools and information they need to successfully lead in their roles with confidence, autonomy, and integrity.
Training Specialists report to the Director of Training & Professional Development and include the following key responsibilities: Ability to complete and maintain compliance with all instructor certifications (Woodfords will provide! ) required to carry out position responsibilities.
Ability to effectively lead and facilitate various trainings that include: American Heart Association First Aid/CPR, Behavioral Health Professional, Child Passenger Safety, College of Direct Support and Safety-Care.
Provide New Hire Orientation Training to employees. Develop, review, and teach new curriculum to internal and external customers through live and virtual classroom settings. Complete special projects and assist with special trainings/conferences at the discretion of the Director of Training. Schedule & Compensation Full-time (40 hrs. ) Monday-Friday, with occasional nights and weekend trainings. $45,000/annually Location: Westbrook, ME Key Qualifications Bachelor's Degree preferred Minimum of 2 years of relevant instructional experience Familiarity and understanding of intellectual/developmental disabilities Start your career at an organization that's committed to your professional growth and development!
