Job Description/Duties: : The design, implementation and maintenance of applications that support the quality requirements of products manufactured at BWXT NOG: L. Software design, software implementation,
software testing, software documentation, and user support.
Projects will include support of Windows Forms applications written in Visual Basic and C along with a few small intranet sites. Projects will also include the development and support of modern replacements for legacy software using Microsoft Visual Studio and the. NET framework using Oracle and/or SQL Server databases. Minimum Qualifications/Requirements: : A Bachelors Degree in an IT field is required. A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or Information Management is preferred. Must possess at least one (1) year of related experience. Must be a U. S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance. Additional Qualifications: : Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently or as part of a team is required. Knowledge of application development using Microsoft. T he base salary range for this position in Virginia (US: VA) at the start of employment is expected to be between 53,000 and 86,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job: related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
