Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges, and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies. Cross-sell bank products and services. Refer customers to the proper department

for issues that cannot be resolved at the teller line. Count and roll loose coins. Issue personal money orders and cashier's checks. Sell Visa Travel cards and Visa Gift cards.

Accept loan payments: verify payment amount and issue receipts. Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring that teller drawer cash limits are not exceeded. Ensure teller station is properly supplied. Accept county property tax payments. Balance and update savings passbooks, and close accounts when requested. Follow procedures for removing accounts for dormancy. Balance drawer daily. Redeem U. S. Savings Bonds. Maintain appropriate currency logs. Process Mail. Assist with night depository duties;

logging bags, processing deposits, making change orders, issuing receipts and returning bags to customers.

May assist in opening and closing procedures. Assists in balancing vault currency and coin. Operates computer terminal or personal computer to process account activity, determine balances, and resolve problems within given authority. Receives and processes stop payment and hold orders. Provides effective customer service and assists in resolving problems within given authority. May answer telephones and directs callers to proper Bank personnel. May gather data and process various reports (e. g. currency transaction, monetary instrument log, cash transaction log).

Maintains files, copies and faxes documents and orders and distributes supplies. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent customer service skills. The ability to prioritize and make on-the-spot decisions regarding customer transactions, weighing customer satisfaction issues with Bank exposure to loss or fraud. General mathematical skills are required. Ability to gain knowledge of all bank deposit products and policies. Ability to gain knowledge of bank loan, trust and investment center products. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work well under pressure. Ability to cross sell. High degree of accuracy. Strong communication & organizational skills. Ability to complete training to obtain knowledge of various federal regulations and teller roles and responsibilities relating to each regulation. Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 1 year of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Cash handling or sales experience with prior customer service experience preferred. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing or sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and answering phones.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times. Prepares and presents credit presentations for the Loan Committee when needed for approval Approves or disapproves loans within established lending credit limits and prepare and collect loan documentation for closing.

Prepares Adverse Action documentation for loans that are denied. Closing of the loan - checks accuracy of documents, while making sure client signs in all appropriate places and understands all the documents. Monitors loan performance, loan agreements, financial statements, and monitors the collateral. Collects past due loans as necessary to prevent charge-offs and losses to the bank, including phone calls, letters, collateral repossessions, and foreclosures. Actively calls on customers outside the Bank and maintains continual follow-up to promote the Bank and Bank products. Maintains loan files to meet all compliance and regulatory requirements.

Handles all questions regarding government sponsored SBA and other loan products offered by the bank. The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list. Work closely with the Teller Trainer to ensure an efficient and positive teller training experience. May order bank cash; assist in balancing and maintaining vault, ATM and coin machines. Support branch operations by efficiently completing tasks as needed. May assist with check ordering, branch supply ordering, scheduling vendor maintenance, reviewing of cameras, monthly and quarterly branch audits, maintenance of debit cards and perform other duties as necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this role, or to

assist in other areas of the bank. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Cash handling experience a plus. Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) required. Computer literacy including experience with Office Suite, MS Word, Excel, and other computer software products. Exceptional customer service skills and good communication skills are necessary to address customer inquiries and resolve conflict in the most appropriate manner while positively representing the bank. Ability to plan and prioritize work, exercise good judgment in all areas of responsibility, and work effectively under pressure and deadlines.

Collaboration/teamwork amongst departments, accuracy, attention to detail and safeguarding of confidential information is required. Working Conditions: Work is performed in a pleasant office environment with minimal chance for personal injury. Frequent mental concentration is necessary for listening and responding to various situations. Must be able to lift and move up to 20 pounds unassisted. Some twisting, bending, and turning is required. Work hours are generally during normal business hours, may include some evenings and weekends, and average 20-29 hours a week.
