The Field Service Technician supports the plant both internally and externally on motor repairs, switchgear maintenance, mechanical repairs, and on-site technical support. Responsibilities Field Service Technicians must be able to work as a productive team member in a group and sometimes solo at customer industrial sites doing everyday repairs and support.
This work can be 1 day onsite and up to 2 weeks during some outages and does require some overnight stays with company paid lodging and food. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, motor removals and installs, cryogenic cleaning, on-site machining,
vibration analysis, balancing, laser alignment, electrical testing, infrared thermography and switchgear testing. Technicians are on call 24 hours a day to offer customer availability for emergency work.
