Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Contribute to a culture that enables the organization and our people to be successful Build credibility with leaders by demonstrating an understanding of the Vermont Foodbank operations, strategy and challenges, aligning short and long-term people goals with the strategic direction Manage recruiting needs to include: active candidate sourcing; posting jobs internally & externally, centering DEI goals; communicate with candidates, supervisors and search committees; schedule interviews; create and distribute interview questions; supporting supervisors and committees during the process.
Complete DMV and DCF/AHS checks as necessary. Ensures
accurate job description is complete and available in HRIS. Manage onboarding process to include: managing documentation and workflow in HRIS; complete I9 eligibility requirements; work with IT to set-up new employee.
Absence Management to include: promptly file FMLA, worker's comp, STD/LTD claims; provide employee and supervisor information on process and follow-up; maintain OSHA log and annual filings. Benefits Management to include: support annual open enrollment events; assist in monthly reconciliation of benefits invoices; coordinate 403(b) quarterly meetings and annual audit; assist Director of Administration in any benefits claims issues. [MU1] Ensure EPe C representation on appropriate committees; will actively participate in DEI meetings, committees and activities that support recruiting, sourcing, and hiring initiatives.
Assists in organizing and planning for meetings, events, learning opportunities. Assist with maintaining files, charts, lists, etc. that help with internal staff communication and transparency Back-up admin associate and participate as a valued member of the EPe C team by attending team meetings and helping where needed, as assigned. Works cooperatively and able to communicate with staff and volunteers to support the mission of the Foodbank to meet and sustain Foodbank goals· Positively contribute to an organizational culture of safe and secure food handling, warehousing and distribution· The Foodbank relies on volunteers every day to fulfill our mission.

Education and/or Experience: Zero to two years of experience and/or education gained in business, administration, HR, or related field. Strong customer service orientation and extensive phone contact experience required. Payroll processing experience or interest in learning, preferred. Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience.
