Job Type : Day time, Monday to Friday, Oncall 24/7 for emergencies Location : Baie d'Urf and Lasalle, Montreal, Quebec , Canada ROLE Responsible for writing, planning, organizing, and overseeing the implementation of MOPs, and EOPs for the operate, maintenance, and repair HVAC, UPS, Generators, and other facility related equipment as well as mechanical and electrical systems.
Direct supervisor of all Facility Technicians at assigned locations Organizes and supervises physical plant maintenance and repairs pertaining to data
centers and other critical infrastructure equipment. Responsible for ensuring 100% adherence of all facility technicians to all customer SLAs including 100% facility uptime.

WHAT YOU’LL DO Using current design standards and processes, develop component part drawings from form, fit and function assembly drawings. Apply knowledge of composition and machinability of ferrous and non-ferrous materials with knowledge of machines, tooling, and capabilities to develop standardized processes. Create and edit routings against both Waukesha and Customer prints. Modify
customer prints to enable use on the shop floor (e. g. Metric to imperial units, removing non-required views/sections, etc. ). Perform cost estimating functions as needed on new or pending orders.
Submit quotes to Sales personnel including creating dummy routings, material identification, obtaining material quotes from purchasing and the completion of cost estimate spread sheets. Work collaboratively on Continuous Improvement Initiatives. Develop and implement improved processes and incorporates into designs. Investigate and troubleshoot process problems as they occur and take necessary corrective actions. Confer with Design Engineering to ensure designs fit the best manufacturing processes.
Request engineering changes to reduce costs, improve quality or decrease manufacturing times.
Coordinate implementation of approved changes. Complete manufacturing method sheets and CNC programs. Investigate, qualify, and approve outside vendors supplying raw materials, subcontract machining, tooling, fixtures and other processes. Operate computer aided design equipment to design and develop tooling and fixtures. Advise Production Manager of engineering problems or concerns. Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering Manager to assure compliance with company standards. Confer with other manufacturing engineers to share knowledge and corrective actions to enhance/improve overall company quality and profitability.
Liaise with tool crib and/or CNC Programmer regarding required tooling, identify needs and submit requisitions for approval. Implement quality standard setup processes, eliminate need for special tooling, utilize existing machine technology where feasible, conduct pre-launch review of all new jobs. Eliminate safety hazards through sound engineering practices. WHAT YOU’LL BRING Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent work experience in manufacturing engineering. 5+ years’ machining (preferably CNC) experience in manufacturing engineering functions to include processes and process improvement.
Knowledge of / work experience with Autodesk programs, such as Inventor and Auto CAD, preferred. Strong planning, organizational, analytical, communication and collaboration skills Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to influence, and presentation experience. Strong mathematical aptitude, including ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
Also, ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs. etc.) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
