Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain eligibility at the Secret level using a Tier 3 background investigation. Incumbent must be able to obtain and sustain state certification for operating the NCIC terminals. IAW AR 190-56, requirements of Individual Reliability Program apply. IAW AR 600-85, a DA Form 5019R Condition of Employment must be assigned for mandatory drug testing. Drug testing designated position. Individual agrees to submit to a urinalysis on a recurring basis, in accordance with (IAW) AR 600-85. Shift work is required, a change in work shift may be necessary. Hours of work encompass fluctuating tours of duty including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. Overtime may be required, is subject to recall for periods of emergency overtime.

Incumbent must be proficient in the use of assigned firearms/weapons, pass an initial qualification, and must qualify semi-annually thereafter in the use of assigned firearms/weapons. All weapons training and qualifications will be conducted IAW AR 190-56 " The Army Civilian Police and Security Guard Program" Incumbent must undergo and pass annual medical exams of physical, emotional and mental stability. Standard for medical exams are prescribed in AR 190-56 " The Army Civilian Police and Security Guard Program" Incumbent must successfully complete security guard training.

Employee must be trained and maintain current required certifications in CPR techniques and must know first aid. May act as a first responder in a medical emergency. Incumbent may be required to wear chemical protection masks, gloves, and other protective equipment, and may be required to be certified in the use of aerosol irritants and baton. Incumbent will be required to maintain physical conditioning and pass an annual physical agility test (PAT), as outlined in Army Regulation 190-56 " The Army Civilian Police and Security Guard Program" Incumbent must be fully qualified to operate a government vehicle.

Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. Loss of license may result in removal from the position. Must wear the Department of the Army Security Guard (DASG) uniform IAW AR 190-56, maintain a high state of appearance and hygiene. Employee must obtain and maintain applicable certifications in operating various electronic equipment and sensors. Must not have any medical condition that precludes the wearing of a chemical protective mask and over garments. Employee must be able to perform as a member of the installation's overall security response capability.

This requires the employee to carry and deploy a riot baton, carry a protective shield and employ non-lethal ammunitions if necessary. Performs public service duties as needed (i. e. escorts patients, guests or employees; assists persons locked out of vehicles or rooms; opens or locks doors; provides battery boosts). Assists with restraints and lifting of patients as needed. 4. Investigates complaints regarding

parking, safety and security matters, disorderly or suspicious persons, etc.

Prepares reports documenting all significant events and investigations, crimes committed, lost or found property, safety hazards, repair requests, and the like. 5. May patrol parking lots and decks to maintain security. Ensures compliance with parking regulations and observes hazardous conditions when present. May direct traffic on hospital premises as required. 6. Monitors security and fire equipment, such as alarms, cameras, control gates and the like. Answer telephones and provides information to public and hospital staff as needed. 7. Engages in opportunities for additional education and training in criminal law, first aid, defensive tactics and other topics relevant to security.

8. Assists in releasing bodies from morgue. 9. Responds to Emergency Codes in accordance with Hospital and/or Security Department policies. 10. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications 1. High school diploma or equivalent and four (4) years experience in security and/or public law enforcement or military police.

OR 2. Minimum of two years college course work in criminal justice, security administration or related program, and (3) years experience in security and/or public law enforcement or military police. OR 3. Completion of State of Michigan MCOLES certified police academy and (3) years experience in security and/or public law enforcement or military police. OR 4. Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, security administration or related area with participation in security or law enforcement through an internship or volunteer work such as police reserve program 5.

Valid State of Michigan driver’s license. Must be eligible for coverage as a driver of DMC vehicles by the DMC’s insurance carrier. Security Officer PRN Rotating Position Summary Security Officer (Unarmed Security) is instrumental in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, patients, physicians, students, vendors, and visitors by monitoring and patrolling our facilities.

Officers demonstrate exceptional customer service while providing assistance with disruptive incidents, emergency services, personal protection, and traffic/parking control. Responsibilities Protect life, property, information, and reputation by employing situational awareness; monitoring and securing

designated entrances/exits; observing flow of employees, patients, physicians, students, vendors, and visitors into the facility; verifying credentials and providing directions to authorized areas.

Evaluate and respond in a timely manner to events and incidents in accordance with System policies. Provides exceptional customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and physicians. Respond immediately, or as the appropriate, to emergency/unusual situations including disturbances, disruptive employees, patients, vendors & visitors, fires, and medical emergencies (i. e. including, but not limited to restraining agitated patients in accordance with Tenet Corporate Security and facility policy).

Prepares and submits all required incident documentation according to Tenet Corporate Security and facility policies and procedures. Maintains an in-depth knowledge of all security orders, written and oral, pertaining to assigned duties, as well as working knowledge of regulatory requirements. Control and regulate pedestrian and vehicle traffic, when volume and events require, in an orderly and safe manner. Enforce facility access control policy and parking regulations. Provide safety escorts and assistance to employees, patients, and visitors. Patrols and protects the facilities by foot and/or vehicle to detect or prevent illegal/unauthorized activities.

Prevent/report all violations of security and safety rules and regulations utilizing identified Tenet Corporate Security processes. Respond to protective alarm signals or other unusual/suspicious activities. THE SECURITY OFFICER PRN ROTATING CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION, LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE. Education Required: High school graduate or GED; or, equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience Required: 2 years in a security role, law enforcement, or military background; or, a minimum of 3 years of strong customer service roles with the ability and willingness to learn security practices.

Certifications Required: Licensure/ certification as required by state law.
