to ensure quality care and service excellence. Comes to work each day with a positive attitude, willing to help the patient and agency in any way they can.

This includes having a camera on for video meetings. Takes direction from Clinical Director and Executive Director professionally and completes tasks assigned timely, including required learning. Assists in the orientation of new agency personnel and serves as a preceptor to other staff and students. Actively participates in the survey/survey readiness activities, performance improvement plan including but not limited to: constantly works to reduce unnecessary patient hospitalizations, improve patient safety, and implements processes and best practices to ensure positive patient outcomes.

Surgical procedure on 25 and above may also be performed. Service lines can include Cardiac/ Thoracic, General Surgery, Gynecology, Oral maxillofacial surgery, Dental, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Spine, Otolaryngology, Plastic Surgery, Transplant, Urology, Vascular Surgery, Robotic, Gastrointestinal, and Trauma. Surgical procedures on adults 18 years of age and above are also performed if the procedure requires specialized equipment found only at this location. Department Specific Requirements: DCH inter-operative staff work as integral part of an interdisciplinary care team to provide individualized family centered care for the pediatric and adult congenital patients in the perioperative setting.

We provide care for ambulatory, inpatient, and urgent/emergent surgeries. The RN is responsible for backssing and providing direct patient care in both the circulating and scrub roles. The RN provides care consistent with ANA standards, OSBN nurse practice act laws, AORN recommendations, and current evidence based practices. Nurses are responsible for participating in continuous improvements in our unit to increase the value of care we provide our patients.

In the shared governance system, the RN is also responsible for helping grow the nursing profession and guiding the future direction of the unit.
