Mentors and acts as resource for health services students and department personnel. Administers medications, injections, immunizations, venipuncture and treatments as ordered by provider or delegates same per protocol. Documents patient history and backsses chief complaints. Reviews charts and makes entries. Assists providers with exams and procedures. Prepares patient and room for appropriate examination procedures. Assists other nursing staff
personnel when appropriate. Ensures a clean, well stocked and safe work area.
Keeps medication stocked and safe work area. Orders and distributes supplies. Adheres to standard precautions. Travels between satellite clinics. Performs related work as required. Minimum Requirements MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Graduation from a two year nursing school approved by the National League of Nursing. Possession of a current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Kentucky. -OR- Possession of a work permit to practice professional nursing in the State of Kentucky by endorsement. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Must obtain CPR certification by the end of the probationary period and maintain certification throughout employment with FHC.
Must be able to provide own transportation. Must wear protective equipment as mandated by OSHA. Must be vaccinated for Hepatitis B, have provided evidence of immunization, or have signed a declination form within 10 days of initial assignment. Must work varied work schedule.
