Responsible for the neatness and cleanliness of assigned work areas and travel aisles, and the accuracy of warehouse locations.
Report any unfixable/unsafe issues immediately to supervisor. Observe and enforce all safety rules to eliminate accidents and injuries. Operate appropriate MHE, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and orderly manner to eliminate accidents and injuries. Observe proper lifting techniques and physical work practices in accordance with established PWMs. Ensure that MHE is maintained (perform daily inspection) and clean; report repair or service needs to supervisor to minimize equipment damage and down time. What You Will Do Some core responsibilities
for a Forklift Operator include: Operate an extended reach forklift to transport materials within the jobsite Transport pallets, boxes, pipe, any other large objects etc.

and be able to work in a team environment Some physical demands of being a Forklift Operator include: Capable of working in outdoor weather and environmental conditions including extreme heat and humidity, extreme cold, and high elevations.
Lifting and carrying awkward objects up to 60 lbs Standing for extended periods of time up to 11 hours per day. Breaks are given in 2.5 hour intervals Moving the entire body. Considerable use of arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, and bending on a regular basis. Must have good hand-eye coordination Use hands to handle, control, and feel objects and/or tools.

Assist in pulling orders and loading drywall and other construction supplies onto delivery trucks at our warehouse. Responsible for the accurate and proper loading and securement of materials on our trucks to be compliant with Federal DOT rules and regulations. Ensure work order scope is understood prior to leaving for the job site. Perform site walk-thru upon arrival (and greet our customer if available) to determine the best and safest placement of truck for unloading delivery, as well as the best entry point into building for delivering the construction materials.
Safely set up and prepare truck and building at the job site for delivery of drywall and other construction supplies. Ensures precautionary measures are taken to protect co-workers, other construction tradesmen, vehicles, equipment, building structure, and job site during the delivery process. Ability to meet the expectation of moving 5,000 square feet per hour on average. Responsible for keeping a clean, safe, and organized truck and job site before, during, and after the material delivery process.
QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED is preferred. A CDL is preferred, but not required. Experience with operating forklifts and cranes (Boom truck) is helpful but not necessary.
