limit face-to-face contacts. Applicants with good people skills and a friendly attitude will be more successful. Prior experience in telemarketing or US Census work is helpful. Your working area will be primarily in Southeast Washington, in Whitman, Garfield, Asotin, and Columbia counties.
For in-person surveys, a good driving record and dependable auto are a must. You will be required to occasionally attend workshops for different surveys. Travel time, accommodations, and mileage at the current IRS rate (62.5 cents) per mile will be paid or reimbursed. Most surveys are voluntary for the operator. You are not selling anything, but rejection is part of this job. Work assignments are detail
oriented and may be intermittent. We are looking for people who are available to work as needed. A valid Driver's License is required. Computer skills, a friendly demeanor, and a positive attitude are necessary.
