Summary Supports Plant and Transportation operations by supplying transport services with various Company equipment, such as yard truck, tractor truck, forklift, front end loader, dump truck, forklift, and pickup truck in a manner consistent with safety, quality, and production goals.

Transport services will include moving semi-trailers from the warehouse/receiving to trailer parking yard and back with a yard truck or tractor truck and will haul Plant production byproduct. This position will also manage inventory of all empty and loaded semi-trailers at trailer parking yard location. Key Responsibilities Operate a yard

truck or tractor to move loaded or unloaded semi-trailers. Coordinate with warehouse personnel to move trailers from parking to dock door. Assist Transportation Operations with moving trailers or parked tractor/trailers into Raw Receiving.

Manage Inventory of all trailers parked in yard location. Scale in and scale out loads as needed. Perform Pre/Post trip inspections. Perform pre-load inspections on Company and 3rd Party trailer units. Timely removal of rock, vegetable debris, and Plant waste with dump truck and/or forklift Utilize forklift to ensure frozen totes are dumped and hauled to pit. Assists and supports various Plant operational needs. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations

regarding trucks and drivers. Ensures that equipment in assigned area of operations is monitored and properly maintained.

Ensures that necessary level of communication is maintained with team members and support groups. Ensures there is proper sanitation of equipment and work area during operations and there is proper cleaning during downtimes. Utilizes computer and computer programs to communicate, document and track shift information and ensures that all documents and reports are completed accurately in a timely and efficient manner. Ensures self-compliance with Company policies, Standard Operating Procedures, Transportation, DOT/FMCSA, and Plant policies.

Ensures that interaction with team members and other support groups is conducted in a participative style conducive with operational goals. Typical Education High School Diploma or General Education (GED) CDL Truck Driver school Relevant Experience Must have six months relative driving experience Experience/certification with a forklift and dump truck is preferred. Basic FMCSA Knowledge Working knowledge of input into computer system and retrieval of data to facilitate job duties. Ability to operate small equipment and tools to maintain plant operations. Working knowledge of input into computer systems to facilitate job duties.

The ability to notice, resolve, and/or repair routine or serious problems, understanding of when to report issues to others as necessary. Knowledge of Production operations. Knowledge of standard repair procedures within the scope of the job. Able to read and interpret technical data and manuals associated with the job. The employee is required to climb and balance while getting in and out of the truck and while hooking and unhooking lines to and from the trailer. The employee must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is in outside weather conditions during all-weather seasons of the year. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondences and to effectively communicate information in one-on-one settings and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization in a professional manner.
